The cross-flow cooling tower works as per the cross flow principle. Hot water is fed into the FRP splash box, with target nozzles in bottom. There is equal distribution of water over PVC perforated V-bar fill. The water conveyances heat to the air, by evaporation and through contact. It is sucked in by the propeller-type fan. At the bottom of tower, the cold water is accumulated in a basin, for re-circulation.
Casing : Casting is made with tough FRP panels. It has outstanding structural strength. Hence the housing withstand high vibrations and wind velocities.
Fills, Drift Eliminator : PVC Perforated V Bar fill is provided. It renders maximum wetted surface, longer air water contact and high-efficient water cooling. PVC Drift Eliminators are positioned between fan cylinder and fill.
Water Distribution System : There is open gravity type hot water distribution splash box. It is made of FRP with HDPE target nozzles. A general-purpose RCC basin is there.
Fan : The fan has aerodynamic design – direct driven propeller type. It is made of adaptable Cast Aluminum blades & hub. The fan is balanced, statically and dynamically.
Electric Motor : There are extended shaft and sealed top. The motor has weather-proof IP55 degree of protection. Ideal for hot & humid conditions. There is FRP motor cover also.
